There are many ways to know that you have truly "made it". Katy Perry has managed to achieve almost all of them. She's won awards, had sold out concert tours, had a big screen documentary made about her career, appeared on numerous talk shows, and has even had a celebrity marriage and divorce. Most importantly, she has the real estate portfolio to back up her fame. In fact, she's so famous, she actually bought a home… and then never lived in it. Back during her married year (yes, that's singular), she purchased a home with then-husband, Russell Brand. Their busy work schedules made staying in their new mansion nearly impossible, and it sat empty. By the time either of them had a break long enough to warrant actually sleeping in their new abode, the relationship had soured, and the couple had filed for divorce. They have been trying to sell the massive mansion since then. This past week, it finally hit the open market.

Katy Perry's house sits on 3 acres of land and is 8,835 square feet. The structure contains seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, and, like many of Southern California's large homes, features Spanish-styling. Katy Perry's house is on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, and looks out over the Sunset Strip. In addition to the multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, the house also features a swimming pool designed to look like a lagoon, a large patio, two guest houses, and a carriage house for vehicles. Katy Perry's house is on sale for $6.925 million. She bought it for $4 million less in 2011, but as her value has risen, so has the value of the property.
