Lady Gaga's Ocean Front Luxurious Home

When I heard that Lady Gaga bought a $22 million estate overlooking Zuma Beach in Malibu, I kind of expected it to be something flashy and contemporary. I was pleasantly surprised to see it’s actually a more traditional French Provincial-style home that was designed by architect Steve Giannetti.
Steve Giannetti and his wife Brooke, who writes the popular design blog Velvet&Linen, are amazingly talented. I’ve got their book Patina Style sitting on the coffee table in my sunroom right now. So I was excited to see what he did with this house in Malibu.
His portfolio describes this project as “An Equestrian Estate overlooking Zuma Beach in Malibu that was based on a collection of European farmhouses. Construction by John Finton and interiors by Madeline Stuart.
The house was built in 2006 on nearly 6 acres. It comes with a barn for up to eight horses, a riding arena, and a number of pens and riding trails.
The kitchen has a limestone island, a Wolf range, and a terrace with ocean views.
There’s a “secret door” that leads to what the former owner called the Bat Cave — an 800-bottle wine cellar, home theater with bar, and a way cool vintage Brunswick Bowl two-lane bowling alley from the 1960s with original scoreboard.
This bedroom is in a separate guest house with a kitchenette:
Here’s how it looked when it was featured in Veranda:
