The Hirsch Bedner Associates company is behind this tower-villa worth about $2 billion. The building belongs to a mogul – not at all a surprise – who is also the world’s fifth richest man, Mukesh Ambani. The mogul’s fortune reaches $43 billion, and it seems that he will have to spend a little more of it on his private sky-scraper, as the building is not yet finished.

2. Villa Leopolda, France



Imagine a property so vast that 50 gardeners are needed daily to work on it full time. And we didn’t even mention housekeepers and cooks. This is Villa Leopolda and we can’t imagine how much money is spent monthly on maintenance alone.

The house was built in 1902 for King Leopold II of Belgium, and it’s worth about $750 million. You can find it in Villefranche-sur-Mer.

One of the most expensive estates in the States is the Hearst Residence, a mansion which was put up for sale for $165 million. This is even more impressive when you find out that is first owner, William Randolph Hearst bought it in 1947 for only $120,000. But specialists estimate that the work could be completed in about 18 months with an investment of another $25 million.

Colonial Style:

When America was founded with its original 13 colonies the design style of many homes was termed ‘Colonial’ and now ‘Colonial Revival’ is a well sought after architecture style. On the exterior, the classic colonnade porches and symmetrical details are borrowed from the British detailing of the early 18th century, when immigrants decorated their own homes. Two-story homes are characteristic of this style and rooms are spacious and the floor plans are rectilinear with rooms centering off of a main hallway and foyer/grand stairwell. Detailed woodworking in your moldings, chair rails, built-ins, banister stairwells and flooring are all common characteristics of this nostalgic Colonial design style.

Dominated by Modern Textures: Penthouse in Belgrade by Gradnja.rs



This luxurious penthouse consists of three bedrooms, a large living block, wardrobe and a study. The owners are a young couple who had a wish for their apartment to be in a quiet part of Belgrade, furnished in modern, functional and above all friendly style. Studio for interior design Gradnja.rs and architect Sonja Brstina carried out the interior, dominated by modern lines and colors. The apartment is located on the top floor of the building surrounded by a spacious terrace, accessible from almost every room.



The living room, dining room, kitchen and library form a unique space where the purple color of rugs and pillows contrast dominant earth colors. Pink and green color dominate the room for a girl. The bed is positioned centrally in the room near the plaster niche. Indirect lighting provides a sense of depth and makes the space comfortable. The walls are set with floral wallpaper and stripes. Six spot-lights in the bedroom right above the bed make an interesting light effect on the ceiling. From the room you enter the small closet and the bathroom with luxury tiles.
