Updown Court is a 103 room palace in Surrey, England that at one point in time was the most expensive private home for sale in the world. After the original property burned down, a developer spent $40 million refurbishing the house from scratch.

Updown Court features a heated driveway which reportedly cost $4 million to build. It also features five pools, a bowling alley, a movie theater, 8 car garage, and two penthouses.

The property was listed for sale at $130 million but eventually sold for $55 million.




Annual maintenance will set you back $2 million per year and requires a full time staff of 12 or more people.
