Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s New Home in Montecito

Tour Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s New Estate

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s real estate portfolio is heating up, and, no, we’re not talking about the recent wildfires in Ventura County that came close to the couple’s ranch in Hidden Valley. DeGeneres and Rossi have reportedly purchased a picturesque estate in Montecito. While the purchase price is unknown, the 13-acre estate was previously listed at $26.5 million.

An immaculately restored Tuscan-style hacienda, the home was built in the 1920s and was extensively renovated by its previous owner, architect and designer John Saladino. Ensconced in rich foliage that includes 30-foot Italian cypresses and mature olive trees, the home offers 10,500 square feet with five bedrooms, seven baths and nine fireplaces. Interior highlights include a chef’s kitchen, a stately library and a master bath featuring an Italian neoclassical marble tub dating to 1720. Outside, the lush grounds include an intimate swimming pool and patio, and a Roman column in the garden that dates to 200 B.C.
