Bill Gates’ New Waterfront Equestrian Estate

Microsoft mogul Bill Gates is saddling up in Palm Beach County. According to a report, the second richest man in the world recently shelled out $8.7 million on a waterfront equestrian estate in the affluent village of Wellington, FL. Gates purchased the Mediterranean-style horse ranch after he and his family rented the property last year. The estate offers four bedrooms, four baths and 7,234 square feet – quite a difference from the Microsoft founder’s high-tech, ultra-modern, 50,000-square-foot spread on Lake Washington. In addition to its living accommodations, Gates’ latest real estate purchase boasts horse-friendly amenities ranging from a 1.78-acre riding field to 20-stall barn to a show-jumping arena.
