Rishikesh Holiday Home by Rajiv Saini

rishikesh home

Dream of owning a home overlooking the Ganges? Take a look at this house in Rishikesh built by well-known architectRajiv Saini. This holiday home at the foothills of the Himalayas with three expansive bedroom suites is just the place to go to for some peace and quiet.

Inspired by energy of the gushing Ganges, the house has informal places for you to relax with family and friends. Just at the main teakwood door entrance is a lounging area with a view to the river. It holds a glass and wood framed dining area.

You can access the bedrooms via a corridor lined with bamboo trees.  The corridor also leads you to the TV lounge on the other side. The master bedroom comes with a bathroom and gives you an access to the outdoor bathroom as well. The place also houses a private spa.

Most of the house is made of natural materials except for the ceiling and the retaining walls which are made of concrete. The internal walls are made of bricks that are painted white or random rubble masonry. The flooring is of ochre sandstone and timbre whereas furnishing on the teakwood furniture is with cotton or linen.
